Who is responsible
M Painting Inc. operates smoother. and is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. Marc, the owner, is the person responsible for protecting that information. For privacy questions or requests, email marc@mpeinture.ca.
What we collect
When you submit a form, we collect your name, painting company, email, optional phone number, number of crews, and the problem you describe. If you request a companion SOP, we record which resource you asked for. We also record whether you opted into occasional updates. Basic technical information may be used for short-term spam and abuse prevention.
When you book through Calendly, scheduling details are collected by Calendly and shared with us to arrange the call. Your meeting may use Zoom, and a connected calendar may process the appointment information.
Why we use it
We use this information to answer enquiries, arrange calls, respond to resource requests, keep an accurate record of our conversations, and protect the site from abuse. We do not sell your contact details or use a resource request as automatic permission to send promotional emails.
Marketing is a separate choice
Occasional updates are optional. The marketing checkbox is off by default and is independent of requesting a call or a resource. If you opt in, you can withdraw that choice at any time by emailing marc@mpeinture.ca.
Where information goes
The website and its private lead database run through ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. We use Resend to send enquiry notifications. We use Calendly for booking, with connected Google Calendar and Zoom services where applicable. These providers receive only the information necessary for the corresponding service.
Some service providers may process or store information outside Québec, including in the United States. Their processing and protection arrangements are subject to their own terms and privacy practices, as well as our applicable obligations.
How long we keep it
We generally retain enquiry and resource-request records for up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction. We remove information sooner when it is no longer needed for its purpose, and may retain certain records longer when required by law or a legitimate ongoing business obligation. We periodically review records for deletion or anonymization.
Access, correction and other requests
You can contact Marc at marc@mpeinture.ca to ask what personal information we hold, request an applicable correction or deletion, withdraw optional marketing consent, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity before discussing or changing personal information.
Security and changes to this notice
Access to enquiry records is restricted, and the site uses encrypted connections and private database access. No online service is risk-free. If our services or data practices change materially, we will update this notice and its revision date.
